It's Time to Put Phoenix Residents First.

You're paying more. Waiting longer. Getting less.

The reality today

Phoenix should be a city where families feel safe, homeownership is within reach, and taxpayers can trust City Hall to spend their money wisely. Instead, too many residents are seeing the opposite. Rising housing costs, growing public safety concerns, increasing taxes and fees, and ineffective approaches to homelessness all point to the same problem: City Hall has lost focus on the fundamentals.

The challenges we must address

Housing Costs

Phoenix should be a city where working families can afford to own a home. Instead, housing costs have surged, and it now takes 43.6% of the median household income to afford a typical mortgage, up from 26.4% in 2020. The average first-time homebuyer is now 40 years old, showing how far homeownership has slipped out of reach. If you work in Phoenix, you should be able to live here.

Public Safety

Every family deserves to feel safe. Phoenix is nearly 600 officers short of its authorized police force, and emergency response times continue to lag. In District 6, a critical EMS call averages 7 minutes 30 seconds far above the national benchmark of 5 minutes. When help takes longer to arrive, families notice. Phoenix must prioritize recruiting and retaining first responders so every neighborhood gets the protection it deserves.

A Budget That Makes Sense

Phoenix's recent budget "surplus" wasn't created through smarter government it came largely from higher sales taxes, increased water, wastewater, and trash fees, and rising property taxes on homeowners. Working families are paying more while long-term financial challenges remain. City Hall should focus on transparent, performance-based budgeting, eliminate waste before asking taxpayers for more, and build a budget that lives within its means.

Homelessness

Phoenix has spent more than $180 million addressing homelessness since 2021, yet the crisis continues to grow and the Zone is back! Encampments have expanded, public spaces have become less safe, and too many people are still dying on our streets. We need a compassionate approach that delivers results connecting people to effective treatment and services, enforcing standards for public spaces, and measuring success by outcomes, not dollars spent.

Accountability. Affordability. Results

Phoenix can do better. Here's my plan:

01

Make Housing More Affordable

  • Cut unnecessary delays and red tape that drive up housing costs
  • Increase housing opportunities for working families
  • Bring my 20 years of real-world housing experience to City Hall
02

Strengthen Public Safety

  • Recruit and retain police officers and firefighters
  • Improve emergency response times
  • Publicly track safety metrics and department performance
03

Restore Fiscal Responsibility

  • Implement performance-based budgeting
  • Increase transparency so residents know where every dollar goes
  • Improve efficiency before raising taxes or fees
04

Deliver Real Solutions to Homelessness

  • Invest in programs that produce measurable results
  • Connect people with treatment, shelter, and support services
  • Keep parks, sidewalks, and public spaces safe and accessible
  • Hold providers accountable for outcomes
